SportsCoach is Training for Life!
Equipment
Class Sizes
Classes are kept small, ensuring that your child receives as much time and attention as possible, meaning teachers can complete basic instructions more quickly and students can spend more time on task.
In a nutshell, our students thrive in smaller classes!
Reports
Twice a year, parents are given a detailed progress report on their child’s advancement. This is not only to keep parents updated but also to formally encourage, motivate and recognise the efforts of the past few months.
Sports Day & Demonstration Day
Each school offers two opportunities a year at the end of term for family and friends to experience SportsCoach.
Sports Day, on the last day of the Summer term, gives both children and parents the chance to show off their sporting prowess!
In addition, our Demonstration Day takes the form of a practical display of class work held every Autumn term.
Certificates/Medals/Trophies
Recognition of personal achievement and effort is of great importance to SportsCoach. Awards are not based solely on natural sporting ability, but on sportsmanship, perseverance, enthusiasm and team work. Certificates are awarded regularly throughout the year as well as the prestigious annual ‘Student of the Year’ cup.
Sportsmanship
Competition is not a dirty word – it’s how you handle the victories and the failures that matter. We don’t shy away from competition, in fact, we believe it to be a healthy and normal part of everyday life. Old fashioned values of sportsmanship are arguably more relevant in today’s society than ever. Shaking your opponents hand win lose or draw, looking them in the eye, and playing hard but fair are central themes at all of our schools. We encourage a generosity of spirit amongst the pupils, and in particular, new students are ‘buddied up’ with responsible and established older students to help them settle in.
Sports Leaders
SportsCoach have teamed up with Sports Leaders UK in delivering courses integrated within the SportsCoach syllabus. Many of our UK schools are running the Sports Leaders Level 1 and Young Leaders. Students are able to enrol at no extra cost.
